Buy.com has a price drop on their Crucial PC133. Buy 2 at $78.95 each and use the $30 coupon plus free shipping. I have mine and it is the good stuff.

It doesn't say CT16M64S4D7E(CAS=2) it could be CT16M64S4D75(CAS=3) which is cheaper if you buy from crucial website through Webpromo Link
But if it is it is CT16M64S4D7E(CAS=2) then it would be good deal.

Hmmm... Not that up on memory... Is CAS2 better than CAS3? What is the best?

I just checked Crucial's site and the best I can find on the PC133 $73.09. Buy.com has a good price and I just ordered 2 myself. Crucial memory rocks...

CAS 2 is better for overclocking....

or let me rephrase that...

CAS 2 is just better

I talked to Mike in customer service and he dropped me an email saying that, according to Micron's specs, the memory is cas3.

I bought two 128 meg sticks of Crucial through there web promo last week. What I ordered is rated cas3, but I have been running it at cas2 in my overclocked machine for a week. No problems yet. They have/had free 2 day FedEx shipping.

Which is better?

I know Crucial memory is awesome but you can also get Kingston at the same price.

Link to Kingston Ram
Price $67.95 X 2 = $135.90 - $10 (New Customer Coupon) = 125.90 / 2 = $62.95/each

I just bit on this deal, too. Looking at the Buy.com description, said it was 7.5NS memory which corresponds to Crucial CAS2.

Nice find...but I really should quit coming to this forum. I am saving so much moneyon Hot Deals that I may go BROKE!!!

I seem to recall reading something about a site for upgrade junkies. If it exists, then please post the link...FAST...because I just saw a screaming deal on a new........

No, 7.5ns corresponds to Crucial's PC133 CAS3. 7ns (7E) is Crucial's PC133 CAS2.
The Buy.com site shows it now as "16X64-7.5 128MB SYNC PC133 168P 3.3V 133MHZ DIMM".
That's PC133 CAS3 folks.
Corresponds directly to Crucial's own CT16M64S4D75, which is listed as SDRAM, PC133 ? CL=3 ? Unbuffered ? Non-parity ? 7.5ns ? 3.3V ? 16Meg x 64 which Crucial is currently selling for $63.89 w/Free 2nd Day shipping.

[edit] Using flippo's link, you can get it from Crucial for $60.34. [/edit]

It is cas 2 guys. I bought two sticks about a month ago from Buy.com and at first I also thought it was cas 3. Somebody called a CSR and got confirmed that it is Cas 2. The two dimms I received have the exact same number as the cas 2 at the Crucial. It is the same cas 2 memory.

Most crucial cas3 memory runs great at cas2. The cas2 chips are guaranteed, while the cas3 usually does cas2 but is not guaranteed to do so.
