Why is SDRAM going to be 40% more expensive in the coming weeks? Especially with DDR ram on the horizon...

The reason is the SDRAM producers are going to cut back on the production of SDRAM modules.

Hmmm... A production cut could happen. But my short term guess would be that with the Free shipping now over, they'll lower their prices again, and charge for shipping... so the total $$ you spend will be the same or maybe lower.... just a guess.
