Been thrashing them (12GB) for thirty days non stop at DDR3-1603 w/7-7-7-20-1T on Asus P6T7 set to 1.7 VDIMM in BIOS (closer to 1.65 rating though) to achieve perfect stability. No problems completely unlike the DDR2-800 red tracers that burned up regularly.

One thing though - you may want shades! Especially the blue. Staring at them while your PC is busy may cause issues with your eyes and even your brain!

Also have several sets in both red and blue. Asked for green but still waiting for them. I'll probably end up setting it up like red/blue/green/red/blue/green in that order.

Lights or no lights those were just unreliable. :D

Are you doing this for testing reasons or just trying to create a flashback? :)

Well I want RAM that runs at CAS7 reliably on X58 that does not require 10 power cycles to have all 12GB detected. This stuff works and has been reliable so far. The lights could be considered a bonus if you're into that sort of thing and have a box where everyone can see them.

They are VERY bright though.

Corsair has memory with LEDs that are much more civilized and their patterns follow a bargraph meter closer in regards to utilization.

What indicates that any of these LED RAM sets have anything other than a random pattern?

I've always considered them useless Bling with no redeeming qualities.

Activity indication is relative. Quiescent computing times are shown with very little activity and full bore loading registers as pandemonium. :D

Of course it's for bling. Makes the computer look like a WOPR sitting on the desk. (although the former is far more powerful!) :D

i always liked my red tracers (ddr2 800mhz) until they kept dying & dying & dying. i ended up having 3 sets and would rma one, get it back and then have to rma another. i guess it was worth it for the bling factor! :)

So far so good.

Even the best DDR2 ones never survived longer than a week of torture testing.
