For those of you out there that own this memory, how fast have you been able to get it and what timings at what speeds. cpuz says the spd timings for 250mhz is 2.5-4-4-10. So far I've left it at that but I'm wondering if I can get them tighter. I'm having to run mine at 242mhz because of my cpu's limitations. Also, I've read a couple of places that a64's prefer a TRAS of 10 no matter what. Any truth in that?
 
Running it now. So far so good. Sandra Int 6744/Float 6665.
Do I need to run stability tests or would it not even boot if it couldn't do these timings?

dont use tras 10 it just lowers your performance. use 7 or 8 like zebo said.

2.5-2-2-7 it is then. Thanks Zebo. One more thing. Should I adjust the Trc (13) and the Dram idle timer (16) too or just leave them at the default? Never hear anyone talk about those.

If you bump up the voltage, can you maintain the 222 timings at speeds higher than 220?

no thats already max voltage my board allows...2.8 I don't do volt mods or any fancy stuff. I heard they respond up to 3.1Vdimm but I notice they run hot already on my board because dual channel are side by side.

The DFI board staggers Memory for more air flow between them and offers up to 4V...DFI rules.. but I'm going to wait....
 
@Zebo, what VCORE are you using @2.65Gh with watercooling? I am trying to get simmilar results and staility, 1M in super PI is ok @ 1.696v

What are all your mem settings at 250?

I cannot, for the life of me, get my A8V stable at 1:1 250 MHz!

I'm at 3-3-3-10 @283MHz. I think it might go higher, but i don't feel like bumping up my vcore any more (temps are getting kinda warm in my case already).
 
At DDR500 my 2 stix will do 2.5-3-3-6 on 2.7v or 2.5-2-2-5 on 2.8

I tested them for 5-6 hours @ DDR530 2.5-3-3-6 on 2.8... they handled it.... won't do DDR540 at those settings though.
 
either my board or BIOS is screwed up, cause I can't run 1T at any speed to save my life. So, I figure, if I can't hit 1T, then I might as well crank up the bus as high as possible! Hopefully, Chaintech will answer my emails one of these days and tell me what the problem is....
