Crucial Balistix DDR26400 2GB $20 after rebate

I think the OCZ is better having used both sets.

I've had that Crucial ram well past the 520mhz fsb that most people usually get. Hot Deal!

I have had a stick of OCZ Platinum 2 1GB DDR2/800 fail after 9 months of use. They require 2.1v just to operate at their rated speed. Even actively cooled, they will live a very short life and RMA'ing with Crucial is much easier than OCZ.

Yup, I agree. I had no problem RMAing every Ballistix stick I ever bought.......sold every one of them sealed on eBay. I'm not sure they even lasted 9 months..

The new "A" revisions of Crucial are now out.
So -804 is now BL2KIT25664AA80A (PC2 6400)
And -1065 is now BL2KIT12864AA106A (PC2 8500)
etc.
And 2.2V is now 2.0V
So you gotta be real careful when ordering from NE or buying at B&M
The new stuff is supposed to not fail like the previous from bios/cache probs, and is more mobo compatible.

Been buying other brands for months, but at this price it may be worth a shot to try them again.

Interesting. Might explain why my Crucial Ballistix Tracers are running 4-4-4-12@1.93v on my MSI P43 Neo3-F (RAM Voltage is on auto in the BIOS).

Perhaps you could update the threat title with 2GB(2x1GB). I should have known at that price, but I got excited for nothing (already have 4x1GB, and hoping to upgrade to 4x2GB).

That's good to hear. I wonder if they're just blowing out old stock with these rebates deals, or if new stock can be scored at these prices?

Yikes, what the hell happened to crucial? Back in the the they were The place to go to get quility ram. Now, I'd put them in the same category as Kingston and PNY.
