I was looking at the 8500LE that Crucial has for $107 shipped FedEx. I like their memory, but how does their Video Cards place against others?

My guess is that there is essentially no difference between it and built by ATi cards. Sapphire and Powercolor both make cards that are of equal quality. Some claim otherwise, but that is usually just because they had a problem which would have occured no matter which card they bought.

Crucial stick to the ATi reference design like the other brands,in a roundup the Crucial model was about the same as the rest etc in performance ,image quality so no difference in general.

I`ve read a few reviews of Sapphire,Connect3D brands and they are all up to the high standard set by ATi which`s no surprising being they`re an ATi partner etc .

DO NOT get that crucial card! It is a piece of crap with 6ns memory<---same memory that came on the original Radeon...unlike their new 9700 pro which is expensive, but excellent. DO NOT buy the crucial 8500le it is a SLOW piece of crap...the worst(slowest) of all 8500's built.

It is built by Sapphire BTW...they really blew that one!

Indeed. 'tis the worst. Most 8500's had 3.6ns RAM. Some, like mine, even had 3.3. Equipping theirs with 6ns was simply inexcusable. It is even more silly since Crucial is a memory company afterall, and is generally known for excellent products and service.

Ended up getting an ATI 7500 64MB RADEON AGP for $75 out the door here on base.
