Hi

I am back to the topic of mixing RAMS. Just recently aquired a piece of 512MB Crucial RAM (CAS3 I believe). Had some old SDRAM lying around now (2X64MB = 128MB). Both of them are PC100 (SIEMENS and LGS).

Question:

Is it better off for me to have 512 Crucial + 64 Siemens + 64 LGS = 640MB RAM, which means the pc speed will drop to the lower rating (PC100?). Or is it better for me to stick to my single 512MB ?

My mainboard is Abit KT7A-Raid (3 DIMM Slots)
T-Bird 800Mhz
Not overcloaking

Thanks

Just the one 512mb stick at 133mhz will give you more of a performance boost than more RAM. 512mb should be plenty unless you're into some mad graphics etc. Stick with the crucial stick.

Thanks for the quick response guys. This 512 stick really rocks. I'll never go back to Generic RAM anymore :).
