NewEgg was selling this stick for $150 just last week, RAM prices are really dropping dramatically, but hey, I'm not complaining! Look out below 😀
 
It's been that price at crucial.com for several weeks now. I have noticed that both in the US and in the UK that crucial directly is cheaper than any other online store.

Good thing about ordering from newegg - no sales tax (unless you live in CA)
 
Hmmm should I get this now and put the generic PC2700 that I have in my other box that uses PC2100 in hopes for a better OC or should I wait, hope that prices come down a lil more and just get two for both my boxes? Hypothetically speaking of course, but I do have two boxes.
 
Actually, it's been at this price for 2-3 days. PC2700 512mb Crucial DDR RAM was $118 this time last week.

That said, I bought my RAM yesterday from Z-Buy.com because they're in New York, so no sales tax for CA residents. 🙂

There is a 5% off coupon out there. I found it at the t***bargains.com and I'm sure it's at your favorite bargain site too. That puts it low enough to only be about $12 more than the kingston ram with free second day shipping. That's a lot or a little depending on the person, but I think I would rather go with Crucial.

she also said that my love life will pick up and my money problems will go away....... 🙂



Seriously, though, I think prices will go down further, but who knows..... with computer stuff I just find the best prices for what I need at the time (unless it's something major like a new batch of CPUs, new gen of vid cards, etc)

Usually it only bottoms out for a short time then creeps up a little, then down a little then shoots back up!
 
Crucial PC2700 is not much better than Crucial PC2100 so you can save few bucks and buy PC2100. If you want a true decent PC2700 for $20 less go for Kingston PC2700 which is Samsung and it is available on googlegear.
