After lurking and learning here, I got staples to pricematch onvia's $169.26, then hit them with a $40 off $150 coupon code. Tax but no shipping. This is a great school for the cheap!

BTW, is there any difference between Crucial and their Micron daddy?

Man not another hot deal on ram, I already have too much that I'm not using. I almost want to do this just to get back at stupid staples for being such a$$holes about the PNY pricematching.

Good stuff,
Plus Crucial is great about service.

steveme,

Why post something like "i can give it to you " but not actually post the deal? It would be nice so that once we see your post, we can use your deal and then get what we want, rather than having to ask you and you reply again =) Just a small suggestion.

Not too shabby...I got one to replace my 128 meg stick. I can use that somewhere else. It's not as good as some of the deals that have passed, but I believe it's worth it for the quality.

For finding coupons screw around with a search engine for a while. I'm too new to get banned! I prefer Metacrawler.

As for pricematch hassles, there were none. The CSR was terrific, even when I thought I had blown it by mentioning my coupon after he had confirmed the PM but before he had checked stock. He put me on hold but came back with stock and a completed sale. The longest hold was while he confirmed that the parts were identical. An utterly painless experience.

Thx for the deals fellas. My first deal. Couple I wish I had taken advantage of but didn't. The Iomega Zip one, The Photoalley Digital Camera one. I'm still looking for a Good Digital camera.

Now my system will have 448 MB of ram.

A bit overkill i know.

GREAT DEAL! Thanks a lot, just got some a minute ago. I've never pricematched before, a relatively easy experience.

anyone knows if Staples sells a similar stick with CL2 (7E)?

If they do sell it and only cost $10-20 more, then it's definitely worth to jump for CL2 since 7E ram is the best of Crucial.

Platinumgold:

I shopped the hell out of my camera, and bought an Olympus C2500L in sept. You can get it for about $825 now. It's the only real SLR under $1800, and totally rocks. Forget highest megapixels and go for image quality, which it has. Only downside is size.

Just ordered. CSR called onvia.com and told me that onvia can only deliver in 14 days, so staples has to charge me $25 for delivery. I agreed, but I'll call them later and try to take it off.

The first operator tried to charge an extra $25 because "staples ships next day free and onvia ships second day free". I told her I'd get back to her.
I called again and got a another operator who understood when I told her that
there is no difference between next day and second day when an item ships in
3 to 5 days.
Paid 139.92 inc ny tax.
Great deal, ya did good,
Thanks.

I assume $25 is for overnight delivery charge. To that I say HAH!!! I was told my delivery would be made on Dec. 4th. Why should anyone have to pricematch against overnight delivery, when staples doesn't overnight much of anything. I think I have had one order out of ten show up next day, and it was incomplete. Staples online SUCKS!!! Staples B&M's that allow online coupons ROCK! Also, they don't have the same @$$holes telling them they can't PM because of a couple of extra letters on a manufacturer's number when it's Staples own fault. Hopefully everyone will be able to get in on this deal better than the last ones.

Yah, I got that crap too. The lady told me they would charge me the $25 fee since onvia was on "back order." I called onvia, they have 180 in stock and ready to ship out. I called back and another competent Staples' CSR handled me just fine. $137.66 shipped after OH tax. Staples has 40 left as of 9:10 PM EST.
The staples coupons can be found at http://247malls.com/GO/mall/staples.htm

Same here. Credited my $25 back.
$137 Shipped.
Not bad.
Will be perfect if it does CL 2-2-2 at 133.
Does it?

Just called got got in on the deal! Thanks for posting. The lady I talked to was really nice about it. She just asked who I wanted to pricematch with before I even said it and didn't gave me any trouble with the 25 bucks delivery business. Great Deal!:disgust::D

Still working as of 11:30 EST. I spent a long time on hold while she checked various thing out, but didn't have a problem. $137.66 total.

But do I really need 512MB?
