Thanks for the great deal. I just RMAed my order back to Crucial and ordered 2 128 sticks instead of one 256 from Crusial. Saved alot and also saved the money in taxes i would have paid in Texas.

I ordered one stick and the Gladiator DVD for $126. Not a bad deal considering the price, shipping and tax that Crucial charges for the same stick. I already have one stick of the 7E and it is quality stuff so I am looking forward to have 256MB.

Thanks for the deal!

The same module is $134 on crucials website. However, if you live in a taxable region (just like me) this is a pretty good deal.

If you have ever needed to run your system at 150 mhz Cas2..........then it ain't bad at all for this price.

I have a stick of 7e on be6II that is doing 140@cas2.
Comparing to a stick of hsdram on my second system that does 143@cas2 on CUSL2........with the price that is d@mn attractive.........7E is one of the best value ram to buy.
Almost bought another stick of 7E on the last night of free shipping promo but backed off since the DDR is coming out soon.

anyway, if any one missed that deal..........crucial page is showing the price of $125 for a stick of 128mb 7E right now.

TruthSeeker, How did you get your HP 8250i to 32x? I searched here and couldn't find a thread. Any help would be greatly appreciated... TIA, Socrates

With the default settings of 133 @ 2-2-2 I'm getting Sandra scores of 437/559, which look pretty good.
Anyone know how to overclock the memory with a A7V board? I looked around the bios but couldn't find anywhere that allowed me to set the frequency. Thanks for any help.

Zeppelin, This is assuming you are already running the memory at 133mhz and not the default 100, but - The only way (I think) to overclock the memory past the 133 setting is to overclock the bus, which means you need to be willing to overclock your processor as well.

I think it is true of all Via KT133 based motherboards.

Anyway, this ram is great stuff if you overclock via the bus. Even for AMD systems it is good since upping the bus along with the multiplier is faster than just upping the multiplier.

I personally happen to like the Mushkin Rev 1.5 with mosel chips better. They were going for about $140 - $150 last time I checked. As always, with any ram you get there will be variation. One might hit 150 cas2 and another only 140 cas2

My Kingston PC100 w/ Infineon -8 chips does 140 Cas 2-2-2. So what's so special about crucial?

Then your lucky... no ones saying crucial is better than infineon. Infineon chips are excellent. Micron chips are also excellent. What have you added to the discussion? Do you honestly think all pc100 kingston w/ infineon chips can do pc140 cas2-2-2? Btw, my buy.com is on backorder also...sigh even though i ordered it before it went on backorder...guess ill have to wait.

Guys, I have a Crucial stick here that is originally cas 3 pc133 but I am running at 143FSB@ cas 2 no problem. I think it can run more but my chip can't handle a higher fsb. I love Crucial!!!

Pennstate,

It's all about Probability and Luck. I wouldn't want to buy PC100 ram to use in my overclocked system that needs to run anything above 133mhz at cas2 if I can get something else that has been proved in many reviews.
I'm not saying that your infenion ram can't do 143mhz cas2, but look at majority of pc100 infenion owners. If it's a pc133 infenion then I wouldn't argue that it's one of the best ram around.
