CRT To LCD: $300-375 Budget - Best Value For Price Range

Next couple of weeks, I'm planning on plunking down and making my move to an LCD. I've been running a 19" Mitsubishi Diamondtron since 1998, and its been a great monitor since, but I'm ready to make the plunge to a sleek looking LCD.
My price range is around $300 - 375... I'm a government contractor, and my experience has been that the Dell LCD's that we have on site are exceptional displays. Another plus is I rarely see one with any disfunctional pixels, which is what I am after. I will not be able to stand, not even one, dead pixel. I had one dead pixel on my laptop screen from the very first day I got it, and it has bugged me since.

I game, not often, but I do play games every now and then. The display needs to be easy on the eyes, as I do alot of other work on my computer. I need one with a black/silver color scheme to it. I would like a 19", if it is possible within that price range. What recommendations would seem fit my criteria?

I was considering a DELL UltraSharp 1905FP, since those can be had for a steal nowdays.

I do not think you can gaurantee that you will not get any dead pixels with any Dell LCD purchase. You can continue trying to exchange it, but there is nothing stopping all the exchanges from having dead pixels also.

I believe Samsung has a policy of no dead pixels on thier displays. If you really can not stand even 1 dead pixel, I recomend looking toward their displays.

dell's have to slow response time for gaming. i have pretty sensitive eyes and i have yet to find an LCD that's good all around.

I have a Dell 1800FP 18.1" LCD that I use for gaiming an don't notice an ghosting issues. These can be had on ebay nowadays for like $200. I have played everything from Far Cry to Half Life 2 to FEAR on it.

Oh yeah, I bought mine on ebay and it came with no dead pixels at all.
