Crt or Digital Flat Panel?

What are people's choice if they could have either a Crt or a Digital flat panel monitor?
I personally like my crt monitor cause of the higher resolution and clear picture that I get. I find that digital flat panels don't have that high of a resolution and aren't as good for gaming as a crt. True they take up less space, are lighter, and are sharp, but that's just my opinion.. what's other people's ideas??

CRT, because of greater sharpness and clarity.

LCD panels should only be run at their native resolution. A 20" 1600x1200 blows any CRT out of the water when displaying text, PERIOD. I'm so accustomed to the clarity of LCD's that even a high end (EIZO F980, for example) appears fuzzy in comparision. Another bonus is you can use a 60Hz refresh rate and not worry about your video card RAMDAC coming into play with a LCD. 60Hz on a CRT would give most people a headache very quickly. The minimum I find tolerable on a CRT is 85Hz because of this.

If you work with large spreadsheets and tables with very small text, a LCD is optimal. Newest LCD's have quick enough response for video and gaming. Notebook LCD's typically have much slower response time than ones for the desktop, although they are catching up too. DVI gives better results but sometimes can be a problem with certain cards and video modes.

Cheers!

People always say CRT's have better sharpness, but if you've actually delved into the video industry a bit, you'll find sharpness isn't nearly as important as definition. LCD's have much, MUCH better definition than CRT monitors. For those of you that don't know, it's pretty much how well the phosphours (in CRTs), or crystal matrices (in LCDs) are defined from one another. I personally think this makes all the difference. Some will argue that high definition makes the picture very pixelated, but if you have ever done shopping for high end projection TVs and plasma screens, most honest salesmen and technicians will tell you to look for high definition.
