This is certainly not the first time i've ever experienced this problem with this monitor, but it seems to be getting to a point where my fiddeling with it will not fix it. At higher refresh rates(70-75Hz), my monitor has a noteable vibration in hte lower left hand side of the screen. it seems to shake. The other portions of my screen are fine, however. Ofcourse, the monitor is out of its 3-year warenty from Samsung... and they aren't quite helpful. One thing I do notice is that under Windows XP... when I load the correct drivers from samsung it loads my SynchMaster 955DF as a 905/955DF, but the color profile that it uses is for a 905df. I'm wondering if that could be causing any slight issues.
The vibration is more noticable the higher I increase the refresh rate, and if I keep the refresh rate at 75, and reduce the resolution to 1024x768, or even lower... the shake is MUCH more aparent. This has happened to me off and on throughout the last 3 or so years, with multiple videocard, PSU, and motherboard combinations. The fix used to be to make sure that my PC was plugged into my UPS or a surge protector, but that the monitor was getting a "clean" feed from the wall. It didn't seem to like any sort of surge protection. Later, i could simply change resolutions for about an hour, then change back and it would be good for a month or more. Any suggestions would be wonderful! (I just had to pay for car repairs so a new monitor isn't exactly an option at the moment.)
