CRT monitor refresh rate, odd problem here...

I've been running Windows XP Home with SP2 ever since I've had this old 17" CRT monitor. And no matter what I set the refresh rate to in the monitor properties it wont go past 60Hz (even though it says its at 75Hz in windows). Up until today I thought it was a problem with the monitor itself (getting old, etc).

Now I just installed SuSE Linux to dual boot with Windows. And when I have the monitor refresh rate at 75Hz in Linux it actually goes to 75Hz. I haven't installed the ATI divers in SuSE yet, just so you know.

Any guesses to why this is so? How can I pump this monitor past 60Hz in WinXP?

It's an issue w/ the ATI drivers, I had a similar issue w/ my 9800Pro only doing 75hz instead of 85 like it was supposed to, you need to turn off DCC in your cards's control pannel and specificy what the refresh rate should be at your resolution.

hmm, I only see a max of 72Hz for all resolutions... Yet in the monitor tab it will go as high as I need.
EDIT:
Nevermind, I got it. Thank you.
