I have this KDS CRT monitor maybe 3 or 4 years old. the top right section and the right mid section is Like flashing on an all wight screen its like blinking really fast getting darker then normal not to dark but yo u ant see it on a camera. The other half of the screen is fine. What does this mean??

Can this be a Bad power cable? What can this be.

😛 i want one but it would be a waste b/c this computer is not going to be used by me in 2 to 3 years so for that long I just keep my CRT unless it is broken Ill probably get a LCD

the problem don't happen at 85Hz and 60Hz I cant use 60 so I guess 85hz is what I am going to have to use it. 70Hz,72Hz,75Hz all have the same problem

why wouldn't u run 85 hz in the first place? or do you have to drop res to do that?
as for 2-3yrs..your eyes will thank you for buying even a cheap lcd😉

Sure you don't have any magnets or electrical interference nearby? (IE-Unshielded speakers) That could cause it.

KDS monitors aren't known to be the most long lasting, so I'd guess it's just dying if it's not that. An LCD, unfortunately, is probably your best option if that's the case.
