water fell into my friend's new, $209 crt monitor. ever since, it won't even power up.

about half a cup of water spilled in it in the back.

what type of outlook does it have? would a tv repair shop be able to do anything for it? we opened it up and couldn't find any damage with our eyes.

no, he left the window opened and the wind blew a cup over it. about half a cup spilled into it.

the wind blew a cup over it?! where was the cup on top of the monitor? i'm getting confused now, where exactly did the water spill?

let it sit and try to see if you can get some of the water out of it, i've seen monitors with water coming out of the casing that still work...sad very sad.
