Not sure what the glitch is but it's stuck in protect mode, it does switch in and out with the most un-nerving sound you have ever heard.

This plain sucks :(

My dad is a plant manager of one of the Crown Intl. branches here in Elkhart, IN. Where did you get yours?

It hasn't gone bad. You have just blown out your ears listening to the thump thump.

Yep, thought of this but with the inputs and outputs disconnected it still goes right into protect mode and the high speed fan kicks on/off/on/off/on/off/on.

The circuit is just not functioning right......

damn, that's pretty unusual - i've had a crown ce2000 running multiple times a week for probably about 4 years. i've yet to have a problem with it. my ev amps on the other hand, i'm slowly replacing those w/ peaveys - absolutely bulletproof in my experience

IIRC, Crown amps do have a lifetime warranty; I may be wrong, but I remember this b/c they are one of the very few amp mfrs. that do have it. Check.

It does happen; sh1t breaks. Unplug the amp from the outlet, disconnect everything. Reset any breakers on the amps' back panel...let it sit overnight. Then try it all again. If it's still broke, get it fixed.

I wish I could afford a Crown 2Kw amp...and a SVS B4 to go w/it.

ps
There's no such thing as "too much thump-thump":):wine:

Crowns have a 3 year warranty... I've got a Crown Ce1000, CE2000, and CE4000 (powers a nice cerwin vega 18" sub with my plans to add another one in the future...)

That sucks about your amp... I love crown amps... haven't had a problem with them yet!
