After spending some time glancing over the Ducati integrated digital tach, it struck me just how old fashioned looking the traditional ZX-14R/Hayabusa super sport's look.

What are some of the most interesting gauges you've seen on a bike?

Haven't really looked at gauges all that much. But being totally biased I'd have to say the gauges on my bike are the most interesting, cause those are the ones I get to look at all the time.

I am not sure how the ducati's digigauge looks, but if it's not mimicking an analog gauge it's FTL. The nicest things about analog type gauges is you just need to know where your needle should be. Easy to see in your peripheral vision.

I'm a fan of the digital speedo and analog tach combo, something about digital speed readout is cool!

That being said, I don't think I've ever used any of that digital functionality. Oh yeah Hondas nowdays have gas gauge built in... that's awesome. Both my R6 and Gixxer had only that low-gas light.

Really? I have a 2007 CBR600RR and I didn't like the amber backlighting. I took it apart and swapped them out for white LEDs.

Amber backlighting
White backlighting

I meant more of the actual layout of them. I had never really seen them in the dark but I'd have to agree that the white will look better.

redline warning lights..

So you don't have to always look down.. They Flashs till it hits the big red light, then the Rev limit kicks in.

Do they gradually light up one after the other as you start to approach the limit?
