Crossover Cables & Hubs

I have two machines networked with a crossover cable. I want to add a third machine so I need a hub. Is there an adapter that will make the crossover cable a straight thru cable? If so, what is it called? TIA
Edit
Is a straight thru cable called a patch cable?

Yes.

The crossover cable is terminated sort of in reverse, with the orange and green pair switched. If you have a tool to reterminate the connector you can make it back into a straight thru (or patch cable).

Not necessarily the Orange and green pairs. Depends on the wiring scheme if it was done at the MFG. If your hub has an uplink port (crossed pairs on that port) you can plug the cross into the uplink port. Two crosses equals a straight through.

I don't have the tool but could get one. Is it called a punchdown tool? Can you point me to a tutorial on crimping the cable?

568a and 568b wont change which pair. The only difference between 568a and b IS the green and orange pair. What other schemes are you referring to?

Yassar. you right. didnt have a scheme in front of me and i crimp from memory usually using B. never really payed attention to the color differences since i havent really used or scene an A in a good while. Stand corrected.
