If you have 2 Crossover cables and you want to conenct them together to link 2 PC's directly by network cards.....and you use a Coupler to achieve this....should you be connecting them a certain way?

I note that on Straight cables the wires are wired up the same at both ends but no so on crossover, each end is wired differently. Is there a maximum length for crossover connection? is 10m okay?

The legnth is fine, but keep in mind that if you connect two cross-over cable I am pretty sure you end up with a straight cable. You would need a corssed coupler and I don't know if one exists.

The cable can go up to 100m.

However as ctaktak mentioned two CrossOver connected results in a Straight connection.

To get a coupler go to your local Radio Shach and buy :Snap-In In Line CAT5 Coupler 278-2037.

On Line: CAT5 IN LINE COUPLER .
