hey ive gotten so much conflicting info on this subject...

this is my motherboard http://www.canadacomputers.com/produ...item_id=036949

it SAYS 2x pci-e 16x slots, but people have told me the 2nd slot is actually only capable of 4x... is that true?

secondly would i be able to run another HD6850 in a 4x slot to see any performance increase?

lastly, obviously if my board has 2 16x slots i should be able to crossfire correct?

thanks for any help

so then another video card in crossfire would be my best choice to economically upgrade my system..?

If you need more GPU power then crossfiring a pair of 6850's would be an options. That is your upgrade goal isn't it. What's the rest of your rigs specs.

i5-2500k
powercolor HD 6850
8GB DDR3 1333

im playing bf3 on the system and playing with almost everything on low i still only average 45 fps.. i want to be able to lock it at 60.. hoping that a crossfire setup will achieve that
