Crossfire vs Two Monitors

So I recently bought a nice Sony 46" Z-series LCD panel for a great price. (what an upgrade from a 27" CRT!) I have the panel connected to my computer through the main videocard's secondary output via HDMI.

My problem is my desktop icons reset each time I enable/disable Crossfire. I only game on my computer's 24" LCD panel (connected via DVI) and Crossfire is nice for a few games I play. However, I cannot have more than one display going with it enabled! >_<

Is there any way to have two displays going (extended desktop mode) and Crossfire enabled? A (free) program to save my desktop icon locations?

Wat? That's like driving your car with the gas and the brake on at the same time.
Ultramon will help with the Icon problem (1 click to restore).
