CrossFire & no CrossFire

I am making a new build Up as Follows:
Antec TruePower 2.0 550 watt
Intel D975XBXLKR Revision 305
E6600 Cpu
NEC 18x DVD Rewrite
Sony 52x CD Rewriter and 16x DVD Reader
Ubiquitous FLOPPY
and Sapphire CrossFire ready 1900GT 16x video Card.
My Big question is: Do I have to connect the xtra Power Plug to the card if I'm not going to use Crossfire?
My second question is: On the Intel mother board There is a 4 Pin Power Molex, is it necessary to hook this up?

Answer to your second question is no.

And yeah, the 8800GTS would be a much better value for you if you have a little extra to spend.

Considering you can get a 1950 Pro for 200$ it is a good deal, I would much rather get a 6300e and get a 8800GTS though.

Yes.

Matter of fact if you don't connect it, a warning comes up asking you to while booting into bios (at least mine did).

Why that motherboard anyway? I think there's a lot of cheaper, better motherboards available.

Becuase it's Crossfire ready, but why wouldn't you try for a 8800GTS?
