Hello!
I have been having a problem with FPS when i activate crossfire in CCC, firstly the fps doesnt change. And yees im in fullscreen mode, with latest drivers. I also get these little multi colored dots all over my screen appearing in different spots when turning vsync off (attempting to increase fps). Needless to say but i will not be in the country much longer am going back home to italy, and italy is not the best for computer parts! So i was hoping to get any type of help / constructive criticism ! Grazie mile a tutti :)

AMD Phenom 9950 Quad Core Proc.
2 ASUS 6870 clocked at 875Mhz/680
ASUS crossfire MB with 4 gigs ram
Running both GPUs at 1920x1080
Cooling seems to be fine never going above 42
750w corsair power supply

Regular FPS 35-40
With Xfire 35-40
When i try to overclock those multicolored dots start dancing on my screen Also due note, both video cards are new, just bought them.

First off, it seems like you are severely CPU-limited, so that's why you are not seeing GPU gains. Second, the "dots" are likely due to the overclocking. 6870s are already clocked up to the max, there's not much headroom.

The GPU is holding you back. What is the model for the ASUS cards? they look like they are below stock clocks to me and your memory looks very very low. (900 mhz for gpu / 1000 mhz for mem)

I have to agree with Larry there is a big handicap with that cpu.

I built a system for my buddy in Nashville with that same CPU and he has a gtx 285 and he is very handicapped.

I would not run crossfire with anything lower than a oc phenom 955 with them higher of cards.

My wifes computer is a phenom 955 @ 3.6ghz and she can most games on very high settings and still stay around 75fps at 1080p res that's a single xfx 6870 900/1000 stock
