Supposedly Crossfire Eyefinity can't do vsync because the hardware composter doesn't have the bandwidth to deal with that resolution and its thus done in software. Vsync if its on is completely ignored and you get vsync off whether you want it or not. Its spoke about around 28 minutes to 29 minutes in.

The odd behavior where frames are overwritten and imperfections in the output is the result.

Interesting to say the least, I never knew that.

When you say "deal with that resolution" what do you mean?

Eyefinity can be set to a range of different resolutions, including some quite low that would seem to be dealable with? I guess I wonder if there is a threshold resolution where the effect shows up, such as a threshold bandwidth?

I mean the composters maximum bandwidth is exceeded. As a part it is only designed for so many pixels per second.
