Crossfire clock differences

I'm considering upgrading to a 3870 crossfire setup from a single card. Found a couple deals on cards that are overclocked considerably for less than stock clocked pieces.

Can you "underclock" these factory OCed cards?
Does crossfire require both cards to be running the same GPU and memory clocks?
Any manufacturers to stay away from?

I've never run a dual card setup and have never bought a factory OCed VGA card. Any info is appreciated. Currently playing COD 4 @ 1920 and have AA and soft smoke turned down to keep the frames up. They might not be necessary but it bothers me not to have them cranked.

Never thought about that. Guess it's a no brainer. If you can run those together I'd imagine any two of the same card should work.
