So i have some one asking me for help who wants to crossfire an ATI all in wonder because we THINK it has RGB out. He wants to have his ATI 5670 render starcraft 2, then have the all in wonder's 3650 output to the TV with RGB, because its a CRT TV and has no HDMI being that old. Is this possible for crossfire? i know NOTHING about ATI cards these days and never use any two card solution. I am kind of at a loss as to how to instruct him to get things working, or if its even possible. So, is it possible? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't think this has anything to do with crossfire. You cannot crossfire those cards.

I would install the all in wonder drivers for the 3650 and seperate drivers for the 5670.
Make sure when installing the drivers you have all cables where you want them so they configure automaticly.
Configure the cards as needed. It should work.

This is my best guess.

I think i understand you, but i might need to ask for clarification. It sounds like you're telling me that by installing one first, then the other, i should be able to play starcraft II on one, the more powerful card and i theoretically should be allowed to use the other card, The weaker one, to out put to the monitor or TV, with out corssfire? The cards should do this with out any kind of link? If this is what you are telling me, then we are doing some thing wrong in the settings. The two cards, i am told, are installed separately but correctly. Then again, I am trouble shooting this over the phone, and talking to you. I am not actually with the computer in question.

Yes, they do use seperate drivers right?
If not it could be a driver conflict problem. 2 cards using the same drivers is not good, unless it is crossfire, but this is not a crossfire setup, NO LINK.

Use the cards like they were totally seperate from each other.

Edit: what operating system? Xp or windows 7. I don't see any all in wonder drivers on the AMD web site.

Edit: I used google, and found that AMD does not support all in wonder cards with windows 7, or Vista fully. :(

it is windows 7. I will have to get back in touch with this guy and probably have to get him to find time to bring me his computer because i know I'm not familiar enough with ATIs gui to manage this over the phone. Thanks every one!! You've been indispensable.
