With Cat 6.10 all you have to do is set the Cat AI to advanced for forced AFR. Problem solved -- next!

Can't he also rename an .exe if he doesn't want to use the 6.10's?

I have the CAT 6.10s

Will there be any advantage over using the Advanced AI if I also rename the .exe?

Will there be any advantage over either of these if/when new drivers come out with an optimized NWN2 profile?

Do either one or the other. Do not do both.

Personally, I would just rename the .exe since turning Cat A.I. to advanced gives a worse AF qaulity than leaving it disabled. That way you wouldn't have to worry about a driver naming or not renaming it for you and will know that it is being forced and that your AF doesn't get degraded.

If my AF is set to "let application decide" or what not then will having catalyst AI ennabled affect my AF quality?

And by turning it off do you mean setting catalyst AI to standard or disabling it altogether?

Depends on the game, but I'd rather force it through the driver control panel.

I mean set Catalyst A.I. to "Disabled" if you want the absolute best AF. Standard is good to and gives more fps on the average. Sometimes there is little to no visual difference when casually playing through a game. However, I prefer Cat A.I. to be disabled when I can since when it is disabled any setting, either AA or AF, gets forced on a game if that game has said features. (i.e. NWN2 doesn't allow any AA, so setting 4xAA in the CCC when Cat A.I. is disabled won't do anything) When I feel like I need more frames I move it from "Disabled" to "Standard."

Once you select your Cat A.I.--either "Disabled" or "Standard"--rename the .exe to force Alternate Frame Rendering (i.e. CrossFire). I'm not sure exactly what the name should be, "AFR something, something.exe" or the like. I don't have CF so maybe gerrson, Matt22, Elfear, etc. could fill you in on what it would be.

I renamed it "fear".

It was called "nwnmain"

I take it the ".exe" part is understood as a property of the file and you don't actually type it in when you rename, right?
