I understand that you cannot run crossfire to 3 monitors. My question is, can I have the two cards setup for crossfire, attach all 3 monitors (2 monitors to 1st card and 3rd monitor to 2nd card) and toggle between crossfire and 3 monitor mode within the catalyst settings?

So basically when I'm just running 2D desktop apps, I'll disable crossfire in the catalyst settings and when I want to do 3D gaming I just go back in and enable crossfire? Or do I have to physically remove the crossfire bridge between the cards as well?

Since, I'm sure you aren't referring to eyefinity..... You can just disable them in the CCC along with the crossfire x tab

You got it. You can set up 2 profiles, one for no Crossfire + 3 monitors, and one for Crossfire with 1 or 2 monitors, then switch between them using a hotkey or the CCC menu.

Or just go into the driver panel and disable/enable Crossfire, but the profiles is faster and easier and you can tie in overclocks to it.
