ok guys i'm having a blast with my 6850 Cfx setup right now on my sony display .....but i might wanna upgrade my display later so just wanted to know how's the performance of my cards in crossfire in the cases mentioned in the title?

and also if i have such a setup then are there different resolutions provided by the AMD catalyst to choose from to get the most optimized performance with playable FPS or there'll be just one maximum eye-finity reolution provided based on the maximum resolution of each display which i think is gonna be tough for my setup to run with playable FPS? ...

by the way even if i go for for an eye-finity setup it'd be only upto 3 monitors.....

actually i can't find any reviews for these particular scenarios so asking you all.....by the way doesn't the term "cross-finity" mean eyefinity with a crossfire setup..... i read somewhere on net so i hope i've used it right.....

6850 in x-fire will be good with 3, 22 inch monitors @ 1600x1050 or 1600x900, it might struggle with 3 monitors @ 1920x1080. If it had 2gb of video memory per card , that would be different.

No it runs 5760x1080 just fine. Please see widescreengamingforum.com for reviews and actual numbers.

The limitation of vram really only plays a role when we start to add in AA. You may have to sacrifice AA to run that resolution with your vram.

actually AA doesn't matter much too me.... it doesn't make game look awesomely good when in creased or enabled... neither do the shadows ...i mean on my previous 9600gt i used to keep shadows at medium n rest everything high and AA disabled or enabled @ 2x.......

anyways but wat about its 3D performance on a single screen.... and 3D on multi screen?

and i still need to know whether AMD catalyst just provides you with one resolution for eye-finity or there are other ones too in the same aspect ratio especially with less Vertical x Horizontal pixel area to select in case you wanna get more FPS...
