Er, this is probably somewhat off topic, but anyway...

What's the best format to use if I want to distribute documents to people that's not neccesarily have PCs? I've been elected to be the editor of a newsletter for the local autocross club that I'm a member of. About half of the recipients would like to have the newsletter sent by e-mail instead (as an attachment). I've tried HTML file, and it works OK, except no pictures showed up. Is there a way to embed pictures into HTML file so that they show up when ? What other document format would be viewable on both Mac and PCs (or even Linux or any other OS), without the need for users to download/install anything? The people that I'd like to distribute the documents to are not all computer-savvy.

Thanks!

Other program options (there's certainly a way to get html to work though) include:

Microsoft Word (There are apple versions of word)
Adobe Acrobate PDF files (it's expensive to get the software to create them though)

Acrobat reard has to be downloaded though. I think html is the most standard...

I'm sure there are others -- I just don't know of them.

pdf is the best way.

HTML is weak. it's universal though. you can't embed pictures into HTML, though you can include a java generated image which requires a class to be included which is also universal.

pdf is the best way to go, less headaches.
