I would imagine Japan would be a bit more difficult to attack than the US because the society is more homogenous (ie, it would be more difficult for a terrorist cell to operate in Japan than in the US).

<< the sad thing is you can find anthrax on the internet >>

That is some NASTY stuff. Last night I was reading up on daisy cutters and they were talking about how Anthrax spores have a lifespan of around 5,000 years. Apparently, they can use daisy cutters to kill Anthrax spores over a large area as intense heat is the only way to get rid of them.

And who's gonna stop us if it does happen!? Your dead border patrol? No one would be safe from it..

When the WTC disater occured my first thoughts were that not only had they caused this initial disaster, but I thought that they had some airborne virus on the plane. This is too scary. :(

ditto. If anyone has read the Cobra Event, Hot Zone, or Vector, you prob. have some idea of how effective it could be and the various ideas that could be implemented...

/me gets a NBC suit and raids the US biochemical warfare medicine stockpile...

Missed the nerve gas attack? Well, there are plenty of Japanese religious nuts / terrorists... And they look just like the rest of the Japanese. None of this 'oh, he's a bit browner, let's kick him off the plane' stuff. And what's worse, said religious nuts / terrorists are richer than anybody else doing the same kinda stuff.

One senior official cautions that because corroborative evidence is
lacking the FBI does not place "high credibility" in the notion that
the hijackers were in fact exploring the idea of stealing or renting
cropdusters.

and i'm sure that if they would have found the plane manuals weeks before the wtc attack, these so called senior officials would have said the same sh*t----no high credibility in that terrorists were exploring the idea of hijackiing unknown quantity of planes.
With senior officials like this protecting this country, i think were history...

Mercury thermometers and mercury switches contain, in each item, enough mercury to seriously contaminate a small lake for a long time. If these nuts wanted to, they could buy a couple thousand and easily extract enough mercury to cause some serious trouble....
What a shame dangerous products are so easily available.
