I could be wrong, but a cop cannot arrest you in your home without an arrest warrant. That's why they ask you to step outside before they arrest you.

Unless you commit a crime outside of your house and go into your house. Or if an officer witnesses illegal activity inside the house. You can't rob a bank then run to your house and call "home base."

Any crooked cop worth his salt would've "smelled drugs" at the front door and been required to enter and verify the scene is safe by searching the entire house. He'll learn.
