Critique this Website!

Obviously this is a website for a professional work place and it would be MUCH better if it wasn't Flash... Flash is "Ok" for personal sites, but business related sites should stick with HTML or something else.

I agree with not wanting to be too 'flashy' on a corporate website.

Also, I could not read the text under 'Whats New' unless I expanded my browser window to full screen where it rarely is.

only thing that didnt work for me was top right 1/4 portion.
its too childish with that cartoon conveyerbelt thing.

i say change it to how the left side looks, so everything is more prefessional.

you are not selling legos here 🙂

edit=

oh yeah, the center portion, where it says find out blah blah, should be brighter, so we can read the text easier.

Not bad. I think you need to make the text more visible in some areas. For instance, when you click on the grey buttons on the left, when the corresponding information is displayed, it's not that visible. There isn't much contrast and the font is too small.

what comp you are running?

pretty responsive on mine

1 Ghz Athalon. It's resonsive, but the animations are too slow.

I also agree that business sites shouldn't be flash.

I can't read the content it's way too small I can't read anything!

PCmarine is right. Not bad to have a small flash bit but I wouldn't make the entire site flash. You will loose more than 1/2 you business. Consider the audience when creating a site. And remember that 90% of internet browsers are still on dialup. It should take no more than 11 seconds to load your index.htm or you run the risk of loosing visitors.

Looks good besides all that.

OK, but like everyone else has said - too "flashy." I don't think any site should be more then 25% flash.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree it's a little too flashy. Because of this space gets compromised and things look squished. I also hate the low-res text flash creates. Looks blurry.

But that's some hard core stuff you did. I would be proud too with all that action script going on.

Hey. Thanks for the advice guys. Its my first flash site so i know it has a ways to go. I'll look into changing some stuff around. The thing is, this is my dads business. The website will have almost no effect on it. He deals with a few very large clients, nothing the web really has to offer. So this site is experimental in many ways, but i am still trying to be professional about it because my next site is for a real client and i will put more thought into the audience i will get from there.

Besides that keep the comments coming, i appreciate any input.

Thanks,
Omer

This page could of easily been done w/o flash.

4 different fonts + stupid pointless flashy stuff + horrible looking banners (products page) = mediocre flash website.

I hate flash, for business or personal sites. HTML + CSS + PHP makes for a clean, stylish and functional site.

I am using Opera browser and the flash appears very, very small. I can not make out a single thing on it.

From what I can see, though, it looks good for a personal website but not sure for a company.

I am forced to agree with everyone that Flash is not a good idea for this site. It is simply too difficult to navigate, and the animations are too numerous and distracting.

I like it, but then again, I'm easily impressed 🙂. Stick with some of the suggestions you've been given here and make it better!

Good luck.
