Looks like an awesome system so far.

Heres something I'd like to add though.

The 36GB version of the Raptor (version 1), is slower than the 74GB version (version 2), slower I think to the point where larger, cheaper 7200RPM hard drives beat it in most things speed-wise. If you're going to get a Raptor nowadays, I'd get the 74GB model, or neither. But that's me.

Really? I didn't know that, thanks for the info, as I was just about to buy a 36gb raptor. :)

Ordered last night as posted above.

(The 74GB raptor was like $100/cdn more so I chickened out)

And get a replacement drive that's exactly the same. Plus have to pay shipping. or if you send it back to the vendor you bought from, you get to pay a restocking fee. Not a good way to "try something out"

Actually I get free return shipping with no restocking fees, and I'd get a different hard drive if I did send it back.

Sorry, I guess RMA wasn't the exact term I was looking for.

Yeah, I keep hitting 'Refresh' on the order page to see if they've shipped it yet. :D

I just want to make sure it's here and assembled in time for BF2.
