I am looking to build a new rig and would appreciate your advise / recommendations. I am looking at the following build:
CPU: Intel i5 2500K (Already purchased) $150.00 Fry's deal
MB: GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 $128.99 (Leaning towards this one) OR
ASRock Z68 PRO3 $119.99 OR
BIOSTAR TZ68A+ LGA $99.99
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (Already purchased)$49.99
PSU: Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-620 $89.99 -$25 mir OR
XFX Core Edition 550W $69.99-$20.00 mir
SSD: Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 128GB $214.99 ORIntel 320 Series SSDSA2CW120G310 120GB $219.99
HD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM (Purchased) $49.99
Case: CoolerMaster HAF 922 $99.99 - $10mir
GPU: SAPPHIRE 100312-3SR Radeon HD 6950 Dirt3 Edition 2GB $264.99 -$20mir OR
XFX HD-695X-CDFC Radeon HD 6950 2GB $279.99 - $30 mir OR
MSI R6950 Twin Frozr II OC Radeon HD 6950 2GB $289.99 -$30mir
ODD: SAMSUNG CD/DVD Burner 22X DVD+R $18.99
HSF: Antec Kühler H2O 620 $59.99 OR
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus $29.49 OR
XIGMATEK Dark Knight-S1283V $52.95
As you see, I have narrowed down the choices on the MB, PSU, SSD, GPU and cooler, but I do not have a clear idea of which to go with. I do not plan on crossfire or SLI, so the MB does not need to support that and it looks like the 2GB 6950 is the way to go, just not sure which manufacturer. I like the minimal look of the Antec Kuhler vs the large HSF monsters, but if it is not very good, I don't mind getting a better air cooler.
I am open to suggestions on any of the parts, I want the best build I can get for the money. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
