Critique My Site

i like the colors. i dont really like that navigation being bigger than everything else. also, it'd be nice to put some kind of texture or background on that navigation, it's too plain.
 
Too plain, vectorize "verity", and I'd prefer to have the "verity" on the outter table. Other than that, you're set!
 
I don't like the colors - granted, the color palette's very uniform, which is good, but the colors themselves remind me of the color scheme of a 60's kitchen.

Yeah, it felt kind of weird having that much spacing. But I am tired of putting stuff right on top of each other. Figured I'd try something new with this site.

What kind of textured background?

I'm kind of fond of the green. Blue is over-used and a dull red is a pink. 🙁
 
layout seems rather cramped (on a 1280x1024) -- there is a lot of wasted border space. The design is definitely decent though. Now that I read CW's post, I agree that the navigation is too big, although I don't think it needs a background, just make it less wide.

The thing is, this sight is mainly just going to be a place for customers to see the services I offer and check out some of my previous work.

I don't think I want the "content" part of the site taking up a lot of the layout when there isn't going to be much content there.
 
Do you have a logo? It might help to have something that somebody can associate with your name in the site.

No, I'm starting this company. I have worked for a silk screening company and feel I can make better money doing it myself. Small initial investment which will pay for itself after a couple big orders.
