So, I've been doing some research for the past couple weeks and I think I have found a good combo of hardware. My budget is ~$1500 (Most likely purchasing through Newegg). I already have a monitor, keyboard/mouse, and 1TB HDD. I will need just about everything else.
I don't have any brand affiliations, I have had good luck with both. I am leaning towards AMD now, since there seems to be better options in my price range. Pricing out an i7 setup seemed like an extra $100 or so for similar performance and features.
I want to go for midrange CPU/RAM (with a healthy overclock) and give myself a better video card, since I feel this will put my money the farthest in gaming performance. I will mostly game and watch videos at 1080P. Here is what I have so far:

I would still love suggestions for a CPU cooler (the 212+ seems to have somewhat of a following here), SSD (> 100 GB, with decent performance), and PSU if you have any better suggestions.
I plan to order the parts this weekend, and build the system next weekend once everything gets in. Let me know if these parts nmake sense and if you have suggestions for different parts.
