Critique my photo...

Yeah, I agree.. the person makes the shot much more interesting.

As for the waterfall itself.. I think a little less exposure would have been good. For some reason, I like water pics where the water is frozen in time..

Although, I have seen some very nice long exposure water photos.

Very nice pics, overall. 🙂 I am going to make it a priority to buy a nice digicam ASAP...

Yeah, thats from Watkins Glen.

i was there in spring of 1972,I thought it looked familar. 🙂

i want to go back, maybe this year.
Is the hiking trail still open, there was a lower, and an upper trail;and i think it was a park.

Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge. Campers and day-visitors can enjoy the Olympic-size pool, tent and trailer campsites, picnic facilities and excellent fishing in nearby Seneca Lake or Catherine Creek, which is renowned for its annual spring run of rainbow trout.

Directions: Near south end of Seneca Lake, off Route 14. Main entrance, Village of Watkins Glen.

That's a really cool picture, but it's kinda cheating. 😉

The composition is solid and everything, but... iunno, I can't give super duper props to the long exposure flowing water thing unless it's exceptional in some way. See it too much.

Some of these recent threads have motivated me to show some of my own photos. Here is my favorite one:

favorite for the res-challenged

Any thoughts? I think that the person on the bottom left really makes the shot.

Also take a look at some more of my collection.

the water looks too harsh. the guy actually doesnt belong in the picture. the background rock is underexposed.. too much contrast.
