This machine will be used for video/audio production, graphic design, and of course some heavy gaming :) I want the flexibility to overclock, though it's hardly necessary at this point considering the speed of Conroe. I've put a fair amount of research into this but I wanted to run it by the forum for some last-minute tweaks. Opinions appreciated. :)

CASE
Silverstone SST-TJ06-BW
The wind tunnel seems pretty awesome. Everything I've read about this case has been full of praise.

PSU
OCZ GameXStream 600W
Seems to be pretty rock solid. I just wish it didn't have that LED light.

CPU
Conroe E6600
Best bang for the buck IMHO

MOBO
Asus P5W DH Deluxe
I'd rather this be a lot cheaper than it is, but it does have a ton of features. I'm buying in about 2 weeks so I'm hoping either prices drop or something better comes out.

SOUND
Soundblaster Audigy2 ZS Platinum
I already own the card, and I found a place that sells the drive bay for 50 bucks.

VIDEO
connect3d Radeon X1900XT
Holy rebate batman! $100 rebate at newegg.

TUNER
Powercolor PCI Express x1 TV Tuner
I'm getting this because 1) I want TV tuning / video capture capabilities and 2) because I can actually say that I have a PCI Express x1 card.

HDD
WD Raptor 74gb (already owned)
2x WD Caviar RAID Edition 250gb (in RAID 0)

MONITOR
Benq 20.1" Widescreen LCD

ooops. I forgot memory :) This is really the main thing I'm not sure about. I have roughly 200 bucks set aside for memory and I'm not sure if it would be more prudent to get some low-latency 667mhz or go for some 800mhz ram. The OCZ gold 800 sticks are pretty cheap but I've heard they have massive compatibility issues.

Have you considered the PCP&C 750 Silencer. I dont know if it fits your budget, but have been hearing a lot of good things about it. Maximum PC also used it for their dream PC. It has got a lot of head room for OC as well as for SLI/CF.

@ Geekwannab: Yeah I think $400+ is a bit out of reach for a psu :) I'm not likely to use crossfire, at least at this point... i'll wait for the r600 chips to come out.

@ dlerium: The ocz unit seemed to have the best price/performance, but I'll give the seasonic units a second look.

thanks!
