I don't know how to post a public newegg wishlist so here goes...

Maybe it's just me, but I'd just get a 4890 or 5770, or find a cheaper deal on either. What rez is this for?

Didn't have time to look, but TH says that the pair of 4850s are not outperformed for $200. Seems like a good bang for the buck to me. What would be a reason to go for the ones you suggested besides $40 (for the 5770, the 4890 is same price as two 4850s)?

Well, there's the fact that those 4850's only have a 512MB framebuffer for each card, while both the 5770 and 4890 would come with 1GB.

HD 5770 can support DirectX11 & Shader Model 5, while the 4850 or 4890 can only go up to Dx10.1 & SM 4. May not seem like much of difference now, but when games starts utilizing it, your gonna ask yourself: Why didn't I get it when I had the chance?

Basically what both those guys said, DX11 + 1GB. 4890 is faster than the 5770, but either handles that rez fine.

But is a 4890 faster than 2x 4850? I would stick with the 2x 4850 or save up an extra $100 for 2x 5770.
