Wow, thanks, that's pretty... severe. Does it affect Windows 7 (is it known to, yet?) Given the platform's recent EOL status, I'm a bit curious if MS will even release those details, although, they should, ethically at least. Whether it will be patched is another question.

(At least the writeup in ARS said that Windows 10 systems ARE affected, as are Server 2016 and Server 2019, but other versions of Windows are NOT affected, so possible it doesn't affect Windows 7.)

When I was reading about the exploit, it only seems that the three listed versions are the ones that are vulnerable (at least to this particular exploit).
