This is uncJIGGA's boss btw...

This system is barely two months old (build date is 09/01/01) and was working fine yesterday. I had used it in the hotel and on the plane as well. I believe I may have put the laptop into suspend-to-RAM after the last time I used it, and upon coming home the system would not boot. It powers up, all LEDs flash and the power LED remains lit (sleep LED off) and then NOTHING. No beeps, no POST, nothing on the display. Took out the extra 256MB RAM, same deal. Took out the battery, same deal. Took out the DVD ultrabay drive, same deal. Hooked up an external display and...same deal. External display had sleep LED/"No Signal" the whole time.

I'm hoping some experienced IBM techies might hang out in these forums. I am ready to ship this to the nearest service center but since I am an 'advanced user' I would like to try a few more things. Is there a hardware reset switch anywhere on the ThinkPad??? Are there any other things I should try before sending it in??? Any tips or tricks will be appreciated. I have sensitive mission-critical data on the hard drive that I would like to access before I send it out (I may not get that data back if I ship it!!)

Thanks in advance...
