I have to say why I LIKE stuff like this. If clearly falicies are spread and begin to be accepted the publisher / creator will have to make some statement as to truthfullness which will, hopefully, have some bit of truthyness in it somewhere and maybie a detail or two.

Its speculation, so no its not true. But since this fud is spreading to every forum people think it is.

That is my point. If it spreads the people making Crisis will have to say something of substance.

Anyway dont we all think that a PhysX card would be in the recomended setup? I do.

It was already stated by the developer that it will not support a physX card.

I do remember hearing that in one of the interviews.

Did you play FarCry? I'm guessing you didn't.

Shader Model 2, bit low if you ask me. I'd put it as a SM3/4 only title myself as it won't look that great on SM2 hardware.

Oh really? How does SM2 detract from the experience to the point of unplayability?

Second, PhysX card by Ageia sucks.

Third, if it's a good game it's a good game, and if the gameplay is great then the amazing graphics only make it that much better.

Well, looks like I fall above the recommended requirements category, maybe I wont even have to buy a DX10 video card for Crysis. Well, except for Vista. But why would SM3 (DX9) require Vista?

Where'd you get the idea Vista is required? Minimum is DX9/XP, recommended is DX10/Vista.

I don't understand why people get so excited about games using the 2nd core of the cpu. The frames wouldn't increase much would they? It would just balance the load between both cores that's all (if I'm assuming correctly)

It just bothers me how people go berserk when they hear that a game will use duel core cpu's..

Actually I think Quake4 gained a noticeable increase in performance when the dualcore patch was used. I think...don't quote me on it.

I just think alot of people would buy a "duel core" game regardless of wether they like it or think it's a good game, but just because it will use both cores they'll buy it.

Anyone know what I mean?

No. F- that. I think physics will be calc. on the CPU

Minimum is SM2/XP
Recommended is SM3/Vista

I was talking about how I have the recommended HW, but if Vista is required just to have SM3 effects enabled, that's kinda shady.

the cpu really isn't good at calculating physics. It isn't parallel enough at all. The gpu is better but a efficiently designed ppu is much much better. However until physics is implemented properly with pci-e and games physics is kinda useless. maybe eventually everything will merge into one die but as of now it's much easier to produce seperate devices.
