WTF is wrong with abolishing all Federal criminal legislation? The problem was clearly a lot smaller before the Federal government got involved.

I don't see where your article has anything to do with federal criminal laws. I'll bet they are all state criminal laws.

The vast majority of people are charged with at the state level.

Being prosecuted at the federal level is pretty rare.
