Most MMO's just dont seem to work with any kind of modern setting or hybrid FPS MMO's just fail. Crossing my fingers

Maybe... the memo I got said "Free for one day to all comers". You still need a Fileplanet account, but a free non-subscription account works fine.

No. Not remotely. CrimeCraft, just judging by the E3 trailer I saw is more akin to Huxley (or Guildwars if you will). There's a "MMO city" where you do your typical MMORPG stuff, buy/sell/craft/matchmake/whatever, but when you want to actually fight, it's instanced with a limited amount of players (typical FPS amount - 16-32). In essence, the MMO part is the same as a matchmaking lobby in FPS games.

Uhh, so I downloaded the 3gig installer from Fileplanet, installed and it downloaded another 3gb update, now it tells me my version is corrupted :/

Cool, good to see the link is still working.

I am oddly fascinated by this game. It feels like Grand Theft Auto meets Team Fortress. For some reason though I picture this game having more of of a specific demographic as its audience, and honestly sort of belongs on an XBox.

It's kind of hard to get headshots with the third-person view. And with my shitty gun, it takes like 3-5 shots to the noggin to kill anything.

I'm extremely surprised to say this game is a LOT of fun.

Its basically just a third person online shooter.

BUT, this is also one of the most frustrating MMO's i've EVER played. There is NO tutorial.. for ANYTHING. You have no idea what youre doing, and joining an instance is extremely buggy and irritating. The quick play option will also only let you join the last instance you joined, so its basically useless unless you hate variety.

I take it all back.. once you get past lvl 10.. you will fucking HATE this game.

It loses all coolness and turns into an extremely fucking lame camping sniper fest. hardcore.

I'd respec unless you like dieing and losing. Or dieing in the first few seconds you spawn by the camping snipers waiting for you.

It is possible they could fix this.. but highly doubtful. Sniper weapons needed some serious nerfage. With pinpoint accuracy, no swaying, etc. its very easy to take off someones head before they know whats going on.

The first 10 levels are fun as hell though. lot of automatic fire and assault rifles going off with a few rocket launchers here and there, lots of flanking, grenades, etc. lots of fun.

Soon as you hit lvl 10 you join a new bracket of players that have all bought sniper rifles. And then its just everyone sitting in corners of the map picking off the people spawning in. If you live longer than 3 seconds after spawning youre lucky. The good sniper rifles are 1 hit 1 kill. And they fire very fast. You dont have to unscope to reload. Its almost instant.

The LMG I bought is really bad. the recoil is unmanageable and it's terrible at any sort of range. You can only shoot 2 shots before your cursor is 6 ft above your target's head.

Yeah this game is just ridiculous. Zero tutorials exist whatsoever. And once you hit lvl 10 i've been thrown into stances with people as high as 30, and they just stomp me because their weapons are so much more powerful.

Yeah level 10 sucked horse dick. But I dropped LMG spec and picked up a sniper. Basically you bring a sniper and a close range gun or you might as well not bother showing up. It's also the best gun for "PVE" maps since you can one shot the bots before they can get a shot off on you. The problem with the sniper is that it's the only viable weapon beyond short range. Why dick around with a gun that takes 3 shots to the head to kill when you can use a gun that only takes one?
