well, all was going well with my installation of old software, after the reformat (had to..)... then i came upon officeXP small business...


i found a cd key for it, but apparently i got something transposed or something, cause it aint working... the cd key is in a file with a whole bunch of other cd keys for various programs, so i dont have the original, and have no idea where i stuck the original... this is pissing me off, because now i have a dead office XP cd set, and no way to get it working. that's a fvcking expensive program to have dead! :|

Hello.

I purchased a copy of OfficeXP Small Business along with a Dell computer around Christmas Time. Because of a program or two causing problems that i was unable to find the source of, i was forced to reformat the computer.

Awhile ago, i compiled all my CD's to a CD wallet, and all CD keys to a Excel list. Printed out that list and stuck it in my CD Wallet. After the reformat, i tried reinstalling OfficeXP small business, and the cd key i had for it would not work. I must have transposed something in the reading and writing to the Excel list.

I have tried a few variants of the CD key i do have, hoping to get lucky, and all have failed. And I cannot locate the old Jewel case or Certificate of Authenticity. i do, however, have a serial number, and a CD set number, because i brought them accross in the list as well.

how should i end it?

Make sure you put the key you HAVE in there, so they know you're not some tool.

i'm gonna treat it like i would with Blizzard, you dont send them the key, you prove your case to them and they send you the new key... at least i think so.
