Cries..... PS was affecting my HDs and startup speed

Omfg...

It turns out that my old antec 300w HD was slowing down my start up, causing occasional "black screens" and sometimes causing my HD not to spin up.

I got a new antec 300w smartpower unit and EVERYTHING works better.. makes me cry tho...

I had the same thing with an antec truepower 380....low voltage on the 5v rail caused my hd not to spin up on start up.

Yea, antec seems to blow. I wont be going with them when I built my new system

hey it could've been a case where his old power supply was on the death bed = causing a new one to be purchased. I wouldve done the samne thing, except upgraded to a 550 or 600.
