This is the lowest I have seen it for.

Updated 12/10/02

Drugstore.com has Crest Whitestrips Dental Whitening System Strips (56 strips) for $29.99.
Use the $10 off $20 new customers coupon (can be found) to bring it down to $19.99.

Yea I actually tried them a while back when they were like $35. They worked really well and they call for a "touch up" about every 6 months. Haven't gotten around to the touch up yet, but for $14.99, wow... I better jump on this soon then.

Free shipping if order is over $50.

Good deal :) If someone wants to buy two packs, Costco has a two-pack for ~$45 I believe.

If you go the above link, you can generate a printable $5 off coupon for Colgate Simply White (You do have to give them your e-mail and fill out a little form.) Simply White is different than the white strips, in that you apply it with a little brush. I think it works pretty good, and after the $15 normal price and rebate (I got it on sale for $8 a few weeks ago) it is cheaper than the strips. When I use it, I roll up a little tissue and put it under my lower lip, between the gums and lips, to keep my teeth dry.

roll up a blunt..that'll keep your mouth dry!!!!

Seriously...Kroger has Simply White for 12.99 and they accept the $5 coupon.

To bad you can't use the $7 coupon on Whitestrips online.

After SimMike2's post, I thought this would be a good chance to try the Colgate Simply White.
The link clearly states the offer of a $5.00 coupon. But after filling out the form, the coupon that printed out was only for $3.00.
Sent them an e-mail asking "what's up?". :|

A local TV station did a unscientific test on three different techniques to whiten up your teeth.
They took three people with the same amount of yellowing and each tried a different way.

The first went to a Dentist.
The second used the white strips.
The third used a whitening toothpaste.

The Dentist made a 6 shade change in white level.
The Strips did a 2 shade change.
The Toothpaste did nothing. No change at all.

Each was used for the length stated or 30 days in the case of the toothpaste.

I am going to try the strips. Toothpaste is a waste of time to whiten.

Bartell's in Seattle, WA had it for $12.99, $7.99 after the $5 coupon (I think they changed this to a $3 coupon) and they had a $5 Colgate rebate. So my final cost was around $3. Ask your store about the rebate. The $5 rebate form I got had was good from August 2002 until June of 2003, so it might be worth asking about at your local drug store. Unfortunately the rebate required the "original form" so a copy of the rebate is no good.

How did they make sure they had the same amount of yellowing?

The Colgate coupon has definitely changed to $3 (they even updated the home page to reflect this). So does anyone have a copy of the $5 one they could scan or something? TIA

you don't have to, because your measuring the number of shades difference from the original.

I'm using the strips and the toothpaste right now, making up for my stupidity as a kid in not brushing. :(

Anyway. Using Crest Extra Whitening w/Tartar Protection toothpaste that doesn't really seem to work all that much. I was using this prior to the strips because it was cheaper. I'm continuing to use it while I'm using the strips and will continue afterward in hopes of keeping the whiteness I've attained.

Which leads me to the second part, the strips work. It is a slow process, but I noticed a difference after the second day. Each progressive day brings a little more of a change, but nothing quite as noticeable as the second day. My gums were seriously irritated by the peroxide at first, almost to the point of wanting to rip the strips out and continually rince my mouth out. Almost. I haven't experienced any problems these past few days, however. I picked them up from the local Kroger affiliate for ~$24 last Sunday, so I'm halfway through the kit.

If you're looking for a cheaper solution to whitening your teeth or are just nervous about going to the dentist, I'd say try them out. Just my two cents.
