Crest Whitening Strips

I don't think they work, period. Not very well anyway. I tried several OTC products without much success and ended up with some sensitive teeth. I finally just opted to go to the dentist and get the custom trays made and a 4-pack of the 15% gel. In just 4 nights, I was probably 2-3 shades whiter. I then got a 4-pack of the 20% (strongest they'll let you take home) and did that a couple times. My teeth are now really white but not "Hollywood" white which I didn't want because it looks too fake.

Yeah, it's a little more expensive to do the trays ($300 for me) but it's ten times more effective than what you can buy at the store and you have the trays forever. So anytime you want to whiten your teeth, you just have to go buy a 4-pack of gel which is only like $25. And once your teeth are established (about a 2 week process), you only need to sleep with the trays in like once every month or so to maintain the whiteness.

The strips are okay if you are on a budget but you'll be much happier with the trays and the strips will end up costing just as much in the long run if you plan on keeping your teeth pretty white.

Just my $.02

i broke my front tooth, so i have a crown that won't change color. i'm always afraid to whiten them too much, because i'll have one tooth that's a different shade 😛

i don't like the crest one because they get all slimey. I like the rembrant ones much better. they stay put on your teeth and you don't have to wear them as long.

Yeah, I tried Crest. Did it for about a week. Gave me decent results, but it also sensitized my teeth (couldn't chew anything hard or drink anything freezing cold). So I stopped.

that would be an issue.

Colgate whitening works for me.
Takes a little longer but hey it works!
Just look at my teeth

Beige, your avatar has your mouth covered with a mask, your teeth probably look really bad after whitening, if you're covering them up like that 😉

My GF is a dental hygenist and has told me that the only ones proven to work are the trays from the dental office. So if you really wanna make them white pony up the dough and do it right.

Mine aren't bad right now, but someday I'll probably do it. She bitches at me for buying the whitenening tooth paste because she says it doesn't work. lol

I went the Crest Whitestrip Premium route for awhile and they did work. After about 5-7 days my teeth were noticably whiter. The main problem I had was after the second 30min aplication the next day, my teeth hurt like a Mofo! I don't have sensitive teeth either. Had to skip a day or two before using them again. I have like 2-3 boxes in the bathroom cupboard just sitting there.

Went to the dentist and got fitted for the trays and so far so good. Like most people, I'm not going BLEACH HOLY MOTHER OF GOD BLINDING WHITE, but just enough to get rid of 5 or so years of discolor. I don't drink coffee, soda or smoke cigs but when you reach 32 years of age, there will be some discoloration 😉 It's all that Bud Light **LOL**

Edit: Fogot to post the price I paid for 6 (15%) of the bleach tubes and trays. $150.00

damn i wanna have white teeth again =(... once i drank some coffee for a few months they turned yellow permantly.. so whats the bottom line then? go to the dentist if u want white teeth or will crest white strips work?

Brush your teeth with baking soda & peroxide 😉

Yep! This works really well and if you do it only once a week it won't hurt you at all. Also the Walgreens brand of the Crest White strips is better, in my opinion, even though it's generic.
